Stillwater Man Arrested Attempting to Bring Drugs into Courthouse

(Sapulpa, OK) On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Jack Lee Weems, 34, entered the Creek County courthouse. At the security checkpoint, Weems placed a few items on the X-ray scanner and proceeded through the metal detector. The metal detector triggered an alarm. Deputies asked Weems to remove his coat and any other items and place them on the scanner. When the items were being scanned, Weems attempted to reach into the scanner to retrieve a bandana. Inside the folded-up bandana was a coin purse that had multiple baggies, containing methamphetamine. Weems was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) with the Intent to Distribute. His bond is set at $25,000.

Weems has multiple prior convictions including Manufacturing CDS, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Larceny, Aggravated Assault & Battery, Burglary, and Escape from Confinement.
